Brilliant!

I was a bit nervous when I took my Braun Silk-épil 7 out of the box, especially when I took the 8 extras including bikini trimmer out and faced the prospect of epilating my lady bits! Previous brushes with epilation have only led to them being abandoned once the pain kicked in as my hair was yanked through my sensitive skin but on this occasion I needn't have worried, this epilator is brilliant! The pain was almost non-existant and the finish hair free, the bikini trimmer worked perfectly and it all came with a convenient bag to keep it tucked away in.The only minus I could come up with is that I needed to refer to the box to work out which attachment was which and I couldn't see anything on the attachments themselves to say what they were for, maybe a little symbol on each one would be great.I'm looking forward to using it again, definitely not what I thought I'd be saying!

Where have you been all my life !

My last excruciating experience of epilating was about 15 years ago - and it was so painful that I never tried again. But having spent a fortune on creams and waxing, and having read the positive reviews on Amazon, I decided to take the plunge and try this Braun silk-epil.It is so easy to use in the bath, helped with a little shaving gel, and the light is an excellent feature. The first time in use was very slightly painful, but after that I can barely feel it. The results are excellent - skin is smooth for about 3 weeks, regrowth is fine, and although I have sensitive skin there is very little soreness or stinging. This is a great product.

I needed this in my life!

I absolutely adore this product. I have been considering trying epilating as an alternative to waxing for a while, but was not sure if there was a place for it in my busy working mum of 3 life.It is such a user friendly product with some very clever features. The light on the inside of the unit shines directly on the area you are concentrating on, so you can't miss a hair! The epilating head can be removed and swapped for the included foil razor and trimmer head, so you do not have to wait until till your hair is exactly the right length. It is extremely portable, and includes a bikini styler that is so cute and tiny you could literally take it anywhere with you. Whilst using the silk epil was not painless it was certainly no worse than waxing - for me it was so convenient to be able to use it in the shower rather than go to the beauty salon for a waxing appointment. The battery life seems very good as I have not needed to charge it at all yet and have just about used it on my entire body! I had no idea just how much I needed this in my life, I would say that the only negative point is that the foil razor was not great on my sensitive under arm skin, but once I get into a routine I should not meet to shave my underarms at all so that is very avoidable.

Moustache free

I've just used the Braun silk epil 7 with the facial hair attachment which makes the surface area smaller so easier to control. I followed the instructions to keep skin taught. I admit I practiced on the back of my hand first because I was a little nervous. I then braved it and used it on the slow speed to epilate the sparse but obvious hairs I have above my top lip. It does pinch a little but I persisted and the epilator has removed every hair including the fine ones. I'm delighted as even though I'm not very hairy, face make up always accentuates them. I would recommend practising first and then just do it !!

Love the braun silk-epil

Normally electric razors leave my skin in a really bad condition however this one is so gentle on my skin!Dead easy to use and the handy bikini trimmer is a fab addition.Instruction booklet goes into more detail than any product I've ordered before which is fab, although could do with some more guidance on what each head does but I figured it out.The only downside for me is that the plug to charge it is a shaver plug, which I don't have but not the end of the world. Because of the results I will buy an adapter! Love it!!!No way I'll stop using this now!

Does a brilliant job but...

I was impressed with the job this shaver did, having never tried using anything like it before. It wasn't really painful - no more than plucking your eyebrows really! I preferred the dry shave to the wet shave because it seemed quicker although there wasn't much difference in the quality of shave. The only thing I would say is that using it was quite time consuming and I would probably go back to using a disposable razor most of the time - I'm a working mum with not a lot of spare time!!

Pleasantly surprised

First thing I need to say is that when I told my friends that I had been accepted to try and review the silk-epil they all wished my luck and one shuddered at the thought of using an epilator. Having never used one myself I was nervous but could not pass up this amazing opportunity and was excited to try. I have to say that although it was not completely pain free (how can pulling hair out ever be though!?) it honestly was not that painful. The first glide across my leg did startle me somewhat but it was more like pins and needles that immediately went away than any kind of pain. How much is this worth it though! Instead of having to shave daily this lasts for weeks and more importantly did not leave my legs dry or bumpy afterwards. The results were fantastic, silky smooth legs and I won't have to do this every day ever again. Only criticism up to now would be that it would be so much better if you had a bag to keep all the attachments and parts in to keep everything together and prevent losing bits over time. Will report back once I have tried the other attachments and pieces but so far it's amazing.

Epilator - try again

It has been 15 years since I last used an epilator - il be honest the last time was so excruciating I vowed it would be the last. I decided to initially try it dry, strangely enough the pain was no where near what I remembered. In fact it was quite satisfying and I was left with smooth legs! Smoother than when shaving with a razor - I can only guess this is because the hairs are plucked rather than cut! I must shaved my legs every three days - however I'm five days after using the epilator and still hair free!! I amazed! I would say though that after using it dry make sure you moisturiser thoroughly! I'm converted!

Fabulously Fuzz Free

I was a bit apprehensive using this epilator as I've used one before many years ago, and it was memorable for all the wrong reasons! But I must say I was very impressed with the Braun Silk-épil 7Lovely looking epilator with attachments for all your hair removal needs. Comes with a nice little storage bag to keep all the attachments together. After charging, which didn’t take long, I decided to jump straight in and go for the legs. My hair was short and was just growing in from a previous waxing. I used the massage head to start with and with some firm pressure and following the instructions started at the bottom of my legs. It took a few goings over but I got a nice hair free patch. The light is very handy as it shows up even the smallest hairs so you know where you need to epilate. Only a little discomfort, but the firmer you press the less painful. Feeling brave I then moved on to the efficiency cap. Still OK but not sure what was so efficient about it in comparison to the massage head. Went back to the massage head and finished both legs. Result!I also used the facial cap and then the precision cap.The bikini trimmer was a great addition to the package. It’s now been 2 weeks since first use and I am still happy with the results.
