Dream ambassador: Vettel

Since September 2013, Braun new ambassador is Sebastian Vettel, the German Formula 1 racing driver, currently driving for the Austrian racing team Infiniti Red Bull Racing.

In his first year driving for Red Bull (2009), Vettel finished the season as World Drivers' championship runner-up. He is now the youngest four-time F1 World Champion in history, having successively won the title in 2010, 2011, 2012 and 2013.

Born in Heppenheim near Frankfurt, his dream of becoming a racing driver began aged 3, when he climbed into his first go-kart and refused to get out. At 7, he was the youngest racer at the Kerpen-Manheim track where Schumacher started out. He finished second and was awarded his trophy by Michael Schumacher. Since that day, Vettel vowed and worked hard to achieve his Dream, looking up to Michael Schumacher as his hero. Aged 8 he began racing in the Kart Series, winning a series of titles including German Junior Karting Championship, Monaco Kart Cup and the European Junior Karting Championship. Vettel upgraded to racing cars in 2002 after winning the Senior ICA Kart Championship and holds numerous ‘Youngest Formula 1’ titles.”

And even today Vettel never loses grip on his Dream, training at Finnish ice camps in winter and in Balinese rainforests in summer. He once told a journalist that he would “drive in F1 for free” because he had found his “passion in life”.
